Since 1928, Specialty Vermiculite, a division of Dicalite Management Group, has been at the forefront of mineral innovation. We are the only company that both mines and processes vermiculite at our Enoree, SC facility. Using open-cast mining techniques, we extract vermiculite concentrate, separating the ore from other minerals and classifying it into various particle sizes to ensure a premium, high-quality product for our customers.
Our vermiculite is mined using open cast techniques, where the ore is carefully separated from other minerals and classified into different particle sizes. Once mined, the vermiculite is transported to our processing facility, where it undergoes milling to refine it into vermiculite concentrate. Our mill produces three particle sizes—fine, medium, and coarse—suitable for a wide range of applications. Additionally, we offer thermal expansion for concrete additives and masonry insulation, along with MicroLite, a liquid vermiculite dispersion used in textile coatings, thermal insulation, and food packaging.
